The Chicago Convergence

You bring the digital sparks, we'll supply the gasoline.

Four middle-aged guys from Chicago occasionally escape the real world that’s filled with nagging wives, screaming kids, in-laws, weekend chores, overbearing mothers/bosses and other life demands. As FBI Fred inherits a rural warehouse (Al Capone's old mob hideout) in Wisconsin, these life-long friends decide to keep the place as their secret getaway.

They go to extreme measures to keep undetected from their other world. The boys befriend a few odd locals that have secrets of their own. But before they can enjoy the ultimate guy’s oasis/man cave, they must dodge trouble from all angles.

Dodgeville...

Where escaping the real world is not just a necessity... But a way of life!!!

I forward the link to two friends who did live in Dodgeville below for fun and for a reality check.

1)
Hmmm... Where do I start? I see no reference to Dodgeville in this. No outdoor scene, no references to Dodgeville, disturbing footage of "Deliverance/Gay Sex Club/Democratic Convention going ons" but no Dodgeville. Poor acting...

On the other hand, pretty much anywhere in WI you will see poorly behaved Chicago types up on weekend benders, why limit it to Dodgeville? ;-)

And Schnapps.... Not exactly a Dodgeville drink, origin, is German, more of a Milwaukee, Shegoygan thing as Dodgeville is full of English, Norwegians, Irish and Welsh.

I also find this interesting, "As one of them inherits a rural warehouse (Al Capone's old mob hideout) in Wisconsin," absolutely a stretch here. Capones "hangout" was up in extreme Northern WI, near Minoqua, 3+ hours North of Wausau, again nowhere near Dodgeville. Why not a Frank Lloyd Wright reference? Certainly more relevant.

2)
Dunkin donuts? NOT! (well, maybe there is one there--I don't really know) Chez Hardees would be the appropriate place. If it were authentic, it would be Narvey's.

Hey guys, I know people who are from Dodgeville and live in Chicago. Let me know how it's going with that.
I too am pitching a pilot and like to hear from others, what you learn, maybe we need a new group - Pitching Pilots and how to do it.
Peace and Hugs
Carey
