Rachael Cain has been named “The Queen of House Music” by Billboard magazine. She is known throughout the world as an international entertainment diva, whose parties and performances are truly legendary. On January 27th 2008, Rachael received a Special Honorary Chicago Music Award, at The Park West, for her many contributions to her native cities scene. She is known as the Woman who brought House Music to international prominence with her label, Trax Records, known as the original home of the Genre.
The stage is her favorite place, though she has also hosted and thrown events for a variety of superstars, and the international jet-set, including: The Elite Look Of The Year, Bill Clinton, Tony Bennett, Ivana Trump, Robert Indiana, Grace Jones, John Leguizamo, The United Nations, and a private event limited to one hundred guests for The Rolling Stones, to name a few.
Rachael’s Sexy, Sultry, singing appearances, at Chic nightclub Spots across the globe, including her weekly New York, “Speakeasy” party at Restaurant / Club, Tatou, wowed major VIP guests such as Lisa Minnelli, Ashford and Simpson, Nile Rogers, and many others. Recently, Ms. Cain has been working with The Lost Boyzz, lead by Epic recording artist Mike Tafoya. This hard rocking combination is reminiscent of, Janis Joplin, and classic groups such as Led Zeppelin, though they clearly make the material their own. Her persona Screamin’ Rachael, who was quoted in the Chicago Tribune as “Hosting the hottest parties in cow town” started her career at The Space Place warehouse, and rose to status as The International Queen of Chicago House Music, performing her live dance solo hits, and DJing club soirées, with her magnificent music collection. She has performed in The Variety Club Telethon, major concerts with George Clinton, Larry Coryell, Odetta, Ritchie Havens, Buddy Miles, and many others. Ms.Cain is always totally engaging and entertaining, no matter which of her multi-faceted events, or Concerts you attend. She has preformed at some of the most prestigious clubs, Hotels, and Restaurants around the world, including The Majestic, in Cannes, France, Panama, in Amsterdam, E-Space Kiron, in Paris, and The Palladium in Germany. Cain, doesn’t just make the scene, she creates it!
Rachael Cain, was the first house artist to sign a major label deal and also launched the Hip House sound when she recorded Fun with Bad Boys with her mentor and friend, Afrika Bambaataa. Rachael’s collaboration with notable artists including, Marshall Jefferson, Colonel Abrams, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Joe Smooth, and others has resulted in a string of hits such as "Fantasy", “Don’t Make Me Lonely”, "Real Thing", and "Rock Me", which have made her club royalty. She has been the subject in a number of books, documentaries, and films including The History of House Music, Nightclubbing, The Last Party, Techno Style and the recent Hollywood release Party Monster. She started her career at Trax, the original home of house music, when she and her friends Jesse Saunders and Vince Lawrence, met vinyl pressing plant owner Larry Sherman. Together they created and released what many consider the very first house record “Fantasy” (1984). Today, has launched her new label, PhutureTrax Records and will debut her new album Rachael Cain is ScreamDiva featuring the single “My Forever’s Here Today”. This Year Ms. Cain Also Completed her first documentary movie, " The House That Trax Built".
