About Me:
I am the Founder of the Chicago Convergence.

Bio: John Patterson birthed and led a citywide leadership council that declared Austin, TX as ‘The Arts Capitol of the South’. Since 1994 he has worked for an international consulting leader managing the Midwest US office. Having facilitated leadership development programs for over 10,000 people, he has joined Pixel Brothers, Inc to break new ground for the company and the media industry. He is the Founder and President of the Chicago Convergence, a high profile thought-leader collision of digital media projects, entertainment, technology and ideas; pioneering Chicago as the Global Hub of Change and Innovation. Welcomed by Mayor Daley, the annual event has also become a massive social media network of pioneers, innovators and resources

The Chicago Convergence is a unique opportunity to claim the global stage as the hub of new technology, art, television, film, theater, activism and more.

The Chicago Convergence allows for the unveiling of a new paradigm for collaboration, the real opportunity of a long-term shift in commercial and human connection made possible by the Internet and other digital technologies.

1. That shared ideas contribute escalating benefit; allowing for unforeseen impact, opportunity and alliances which birth new templates in which bold futures are created and fulfilled.

2. That the sharing of information creates a tipping point in which the hope-for realization of human potential and commercial adventures takes form and is powerfully explored.

3. That The Chicago Convergence’s very existence allows for this exploration and honors Chicago’s bold origins and enticing future.

John, I'm interested in approaching Eric Easter from Johnson Publishing about an engagement with the AMA (American Marketing Association). He spoke at the CNMS'08. Would you be able to put me in touch with him? A short intro would be helpful (vs. a cold call).

We are selecting people to speak at our Ethnic Marketing conference and have marketers from P&G and Pepsi. We'd love to get someone from Johnson Publishing given their deep history and authenticity in the African American community.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ John - I feel like I'm swimming again after watching the videos at/from chicagoconvergence.com . Thank You and know that there are people like me lurching out there who appreciate an abundance mentality, but have lived in a scarcity world or business for too long. I escaped about 8 years ago and started applying thoughts that I had pre-internet days, even back to when I was a kid, but had no media outlet to express them. This group of friends is what I have been looking for with my new Internet initiative for the services industry. I built a portal concept for the commercial cleaners of the world a few years ago, www.bciclen.com, but now according to others in Academia and business, I may have hit on a missing link of empowermentfor a different services channel. I would love to share it with the likes you and others. If interested look me up... I'm a recent memeber. Steve (spelling opsionel)
Dear John,
Thanks again for taking the time to meet with my students and talk about media convergence, it's opportunities and challenges. Their feedback was positive as they found your insights valuable and motivating. Hopefully you'll be available for a repeat sometime during the spring!
Happy New Year!
Hi John,
With your work in New Media, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Hey John,
Think I have a fascinating media concept that would take an old television format and literally bring it into the heads of the future. If you have some free time I would love to meet with you and go over the concept and tell me what you think.
