About Me:

Anne Ross has been a recruiter for 24 years following a career in account management. Her agency background includes media training and account work at The Leo Burnett Company on packaged goods accounts: Pillsbury, Nestle, First Brands. She was recruited by DDB Chicago to manage General Mills New Product work and a Bisquick restage as well. The heavy new product planning in her background gave her an experience base in both brand image and promotional marketing strategy and tactics on several successful introductions. In both agencies, she was very involved in recruiting new talent and training her reports. At DDB, she produced brand strategic development standards and processes as well as trainee development guidelines that were distributed nationally (and, it was rumored, in the UK, as well).

In 1984, she moved to the recruiter side of the desk. She started her firm in 1993 as a national vertical specialist in communications disciplines: advertising, promotions, relationship marketing/CRM and multi-disciplinary/cross-platform: creative, account management, planning and operational/financial positions within the industry: digital, analog, and that wide space in between!

Anne began her professional career in information and library management in the mid-70's. Previous employers: Dartmouth College, G. D. Searle (now Pharmacia), The New England Board of Higher Education (database design, documentation and training). She earned her undergraduate degree from Simmons College, Boston (1972) and her MLIS from the University of Illinois, Urbana (1976). She lives in Boulder (with frequent trips to Chicago) with a very articulate Norfolk terrier, Guinness, (a black and tan from whom you may hear occasionally), new husband-- Pete Lyon, a rescued cat named Furface, and a canary, Bogie.
