Outside The Walls

For people who want to talk about Media, Chicago and it's neighbors. Is there really a boundry for the media between Chicago and it's outer limits ? How can we work together to become the countries "superpower in the media revoultion" ?

while I do appreciate Happy Campers comment and respect that, I can't help but wonder what other people feel. How long have you lived here and do you think that is a basis for feeling left out. I have grown up here all my life just 30 miles out with friends inside the city limits as well as outside. I don't feel totally seperate but when speaking with others there is a clear indication of a barrier. Question is ???? Do we market ourselves that differently ? and if so how ? Our marketing skill is so much more dependent on the media now more then ever. That is why we have this group, to get different perspectives. I myself don't want to seperate myself from CNMS just because of boundries, I don't want to form some kind of "suburban click". In fact I hope we can to do just the opposite. To figure out how distance in fact can make us closer. N,W,E,S is more of a convience issue for transportation and time, and of course the most important... another reason to colaborate together. Knocking down just one more reason (distance) to not meet. -Rick
