Denise, thanks for joining. The video work you're doing sounds very cool! Can I see an example? As for removing the high monthly data charge - that's probably not likely to happen until there's more competition. As I understand it the advertising supported model has been tried and has failed multiple times. The UK is at it again with a service called Blyk. Check out their biz model:

Hi Hugh,
Thanks for inviting me - I work closely with Avot Media (http://www.avotmedia.com) and they have a patented system for transcoding video on the fly and streaming it to 2G and 3G networks, and hand-offs between 3G and 2G are seamlesss. There's no buffering, no stuttering and images are crystal clear. If we can get the world on a system like theirs, adopting mobile video would happen more readily. Also, the carriers need to forget about those $30/mo charges for TV on the phones. That needs to be paid for by advertising. Just my opinion, fwiw.
