I just participated in a 7 week marketing promotion online for a Showtime Mixed Martial Arts Pay Per View event. I was the editor of 5 of the seven part series. We achieved over 500,000 cumulative views of the body of work. The series was presented weekly on Youtube and was syndicated to Sports Illustrated and other sports and Mixed Martial Arts sites. Two episodes are on my profile here. I am available for production work, consultancy and editing in the midwest area.

CitizenKate.TV has been tapped to be the official People's Correspondent for Vote for Change, a site created by Shepard Fairey, creator of the Obama Hope poster and Inauguration Poster.

We will be interviewing people from every strata of life: what is your hope for change?

In addition, Citizen Kate, in the spirit of Obama's Be The Change public service day, will do her Be the Hug campaign.

Kate will try to facilitate and film people who are diametrically opposed to each other hugging. Because peace starts with a hug.

Look for her dispatches daily from the inauguration on www.citizenkate.tv, on youtube.com/citizenkate2007 and theuptake.org.

Citizen Kate is sponsored in part by HD Flip Mineo Cameras and Tarina Tarintino jewelryl

I'm about to start the first online non-google-adwords marketing campaign for my coffee company, Crop To Cup (www.croptocup.com). Our main selling point is that we pay farmers even more than fair trade, and are working to bring FREE TRADE to the world of coffee. I'm going to start the marketing by doing a blog that talks about the world of coffee, and also gives consistent recipe ideas for creative ways to use coffee.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can best use my time starting this campaign?

@steven - i've always loved that idea of having banner ads look like art. some design blogs do it well with pretty graphics. oh joy! is one of my favorites.

as long as the art is suited for that target audience i think it's a great idea. the intersection of art and commerce is a welcome one.

What I would like is something that allow you to rate banner ads with a small rectangular box below them that either has a +/- sign,
or 1-5 stars in order to help determine which ads you see in the future.

Would be a great revenue creator for Mozilla, but I'm not sure if they're able to do something like that.

What do you digital advertising peeps think of Add-Art, the Firefox plug-in that replaces banner ads with artwork. http://techindustrynews.wordpress.com/2007/08/13/what-if-banner-ads-were-beautiful-art/
The artwork is shown from real artists on a rotating basis - creating a mini-art show while you browse the web. There are already other ad-blocking tools out there. Does this worry anyone or is it much-ado about nothing?

I think it's great and doesn't bother me as someone that runs display ad campaigns. I want audiences to have even more control over the advertising space if possible. Let them choose the type of ads they want to see based on brand/product/service/price/etc.

Thoughts?

Sounds like something for a Japanese school girl watch list :-) . I love the suggestion do they have a website? Mobile video on demand would be a nudge boost to the production industry here in the Chi

I'm loving the idea of communicating to your cell-phone as an instant message device. Using short videos no longer than two minutes to watch when you can. I feel that this will be a huge boost to the video production business. Has anybody heard of "Prom Queen"? This is a short two-minute webisode that comes out everyday geared at high school age girls. Can anybody see the potential in pieces like these?
